The greatest fortune is discovering a passion. This happened to me by chance.

What’s the word?
Ah yes, “Sunday Blues”. Sunday afternoon boredom that afflicts many people.
Instead, it was a Sunday afternoon which changed my life. I was eighteen and my uncle Salvatore asked me if i liked making pizzas. It was something I had never thought of before, and didn’t know what to say.
But I quickly said yes, without a thought. A yes the a nephew utters to an uncle purely sure to good manners and not because it is true. After all, how could I say no to that uncle that had been an example to me, a hard worker, in the building trade by day and a pizza chef in the evenings?

That is how my creativity began nearly 30 years ago and has accompanied me since with the support of my family and the help of my staff.
Being a pizza chef is a trade. But it is also passion, desire to experiment, improve day after day.
Efforts which are paid back by my Sorrento restaurants clients, Ahum and Acqu’e Sale!, smiles, by those who thank me for letting spend a great evening with their family, with homed pizzas thanks to my tv recipe advice or read from my books or in a magazine or even learnt during one of my training courses. Or even by those who just stop to say hello and shake hands.
I feel happy each and every time.
